IUV at VietnamPrintPack 2026: Connecting with the Printing and Packaging Industry in Southeast Asia

IUV participated in VietnamPrintPack 2026, held from September 16–19, 2026 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

As an important printing and packaging industry exhibition in Southeast Asia, VietnamPrintPack brought together printing companies, packaging manufacturers, equipment suppliers, converters, distributors, and technology providers from Vietnam and international markets.

During the four-day exhibition, the IUV team welcomed visitors at Booth No. A1312 and exchanged ideas with industry professionals about UV curing applications, printing equipment development, and changing production requirements across the printing and packaging industry.

Meeting Printing and Packaging Professionals in Vietnam

Vietnam has become an increasingly active manufacturing market for printing, labels, packaging, and converting. At VietnamPrintPack 2026, visitors represented a broad range of applications, including commercial printing, packaging production, label printing, flexible packaging, and industrial printing.

For IUV, the exhibition provided an opportunity to communicate directly with printing companies and equipment manufacturers from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian markets.

Discussions at Booth A1312 covered practical production requirements for flexographic printing, offset printing, narrow web printing, label production, and packaging applications. Many conversations focused on how UV curing technology can be integrated with different printing presses while maintaining stable production under changing speeds, substrates, inks, and operating conditions.

Rather than considering UV curing as an independent component, printers are increasingly evaluating the complete relationship between the curing system, printing press, ink chemistry, substrate, cooling conditions, and production workflow.

UV Curing Technology for Modern Printing Production

As printing companies continue improving production efficiency and equipment utilization, the requirements placed on UV curing systems are also changing.

In label and narrow web printing, stable curing is closely connected with print quality, finishing performance, rewinding, lamination, and downstream converting. In offset and packaging printing, curing performance must also match press speed, ink formulation, substrate characteristics, and the available installation space within the machine.

These practical considerations formed an important part of IUV’s discussions with visitors during VietnamPrintPack 2026.

The exhibition also provided opportunities to discuss LED UV curing, conventional UV curing, hybrid curing configurations, and UV system retrofit projects for both new and existing printing presses.

For existing production equipment, the decision to upgrade a curing system often requires a detailed understanding of the press itself. Machine width, printing speed, curing position, electrical configuration, cooling arrangement, and press control signals can all influence the final system design.

This engineering-focused approach is especially important when adapting UV curing technology to different printing platforms and production environments.

Growing Attention to Efficient Printing and Packaging Production

VietnamPrintPack 2026 reflected several developments taking place across the regional printing and packaging industry.

Printing companies are increasingly focused on automation, production efficiency, process stability, energy management, and the ability to handle a wider range of printing applications. These trends are influencing not only printing presses and converting equipment, but also the technologies integrated into the production line.

For UV curing applications, printers are looking beyond basic curing capability. They are paying greater attention to stable output during continuous production, effective thermal management, compatibility with different inks and coatings, maintenance requirements, and integration with press operation.

This is particularly relevant in Southeast Asia, where printing companies may operate equipment from different manufacturers and production generations within the same facility. UV curing systems therefore need to accommodate a wide variety of press configurations and application requirements.

Strengthening Connections Across Southeast Asia

VietnamPrintPack 2026 also gave the IUV team valuable opportunities to better understand the printing and packaging market in Vietnam and neighboring regions.

Face-to-face discussions with printers, converters, equipment manufacturers, and industry partners provided useful insight into local production conditions and future investment priorities.

These conversations are important for developing UV curing solutions that are not only technically suitable, but also practical for real printing environments.

For IUV, international exhibitions are an important part of building long-term communication with the global printing industry. They allow our technical and commercial teams to better understand how different markets approach printing equipment upgrades, production efficiency, UV curing integration, and new printing applications.
